Mine partially came apart when Myers (my Oriental Shorthair cat) knocked it off a table. I had to figure out how to get the case realigned, and couldn’t find any instructions telling me how it was supposed to come apart.

Thanks you sooo much. Was having a lot of trouble with my Nook ST. Battery meter had the infamous ? then nook was completely unresponsive with a green light whenever I plugged it in. Took it apart unplugged battery then plugged it back in and now it’s charging like normal.

I got my nook frozen., your instructions worked fine..I was able to disassemble the unit, unplug battery from main board , wait some time , and plug it again . After assembly ,and charging battery it worked.

thanks for the tut. i have a question, my simple touch nook is apart and unplugged the battery but, the screen is still displaying “press the n button below to wake up your NOOK is it image burn in? my NOOK became unresponsive to everything i could look up on the internet how to fix besides returning it. i havent plugged the battery back in so i dont know if it will work again.

If you take a sharp object and slide it under the button, you can carefully pry it loose. Work gently and take your time.

How does one “pop off the power button”? Pull it out and away, pulling at the top of the power button? Pulling from the bottom? Slide it towards the front of the unit?

Independence Day. Not the Fourth of July. It is important.
The Fourth of July is commercials for beer and hot dogs and fireworks.
Independence Day remembers and honors what it took, the amazing sacrifices made, to form this nation.

Most of what you wrote is more properly called “Good Citizenship.” And a good thing.

Patriots are honored two days per year, Veterans and Memorial Day.
