Survival Python is a 3.5 hour Intensive Python course targeted at engineering students. The next session will be held at the Arizona State University Polytechnic campus. The course assumes no prior knowledge of programming or Python, just a willingness to learn.
Course Overview: Survival Python
Location: ASU TECH Building
Date: Saturday, January 24, 2015
Time: 10:00 AM
Prerequisites: Please install Anaconda (http://continuum.io/downloads) on your laptop before the start of the class. Packages are available for Windows, Mac and Linux. (If you have issues, we can and will help you at the start of the class. Installing the package in advance ensures that we have the time to deal with any problems that come up.)
Please bring a friend – learning Python is much more fun when we have a large and diverse group. No special experience with programming or Python is assumed.
Please reserve your seat. The Eventbrite page provides information on the venue, directions, and other important information.
If you have extra plug strips or extension cords, the organizers would greatly appreciate it if you brought a few with you. If you write your name on them, we will make every attempt to return them to you at the end of the session.
